Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on Jan. 19. 1946 into a very low-income family, with twelve kids at one point, realized that she was able to escape her hardships through a creative mind. Before learning how to read or write Dolly Parton had already begun to compose her own music. When she was eight, she bought the first electric guitar she owned and began singing on an Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. Gold Band Records is a small, independent label. Although she became popular in the local scene while she was at high school, her ambitions were much bigger. She relocated to Nashville following her graduation in 1964. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her two first charting albums from Monument Records. The syndicated television show of Porter Wagoner needed the services of a new singer by the time. Parton joined Grand Ole Opry 1969 after having signed in 1969 with RCA Records. In 1974, she quit The Wagoner's Show due to the popularity of her own songs such as Joshua Coats from Many Colors or Jolene was outstripping their joint releases. Parton, after the split of their partnership with Wagoner, wrote I Will Always Love You and made it to No. In 1974, the song by Parton I Will Always Love You climbed to the No.
